Artificial Intelligence Courses

Tomorrow’s Technology, Today’s Opportunity

NMH Summer proudly offers two Artificial Intelligence courses that combine cutting-edge technology with practical skills in a supportive, engaging environment.

Led by instructors from top universities like Stanford and MIT, these programs are designed to inspire the next generation of innovators while creating unforgettable summer memories.

AI Pioneers: Coding for a Better World

This two-week course invites students in grades 7 and 8 to explore how AI can address real-world challenges in health care, disaster relief, and transportation. By exploring the technology that powers ChatGPT, Google Translate, and self-driving cars, such marvels become more accessible than ever.

Students use Python programming to develop their own practical machine-learning applications — from designing a movie recommendation system to training a computer to recognize sketches.

With interactive workshops and hands-on coding labs, young people are introduced to natural language processing and computer vision. They also gain exposure to possible careers in AI development by hearing from expert panels.

The program culminates in a collaborative capstone project, where students apply their new knowledge to solve meaningful problems. No prior programming or computer science background is required, but students should have an interest in learning how to code.

AI Scholars: Unlocking the Future with Artificial Intelligence

This immersive two-week program for students in grades 9 to 12 offers lectures, coding labs, and group projects, building a strong foundation that opens doors to future STEM opportunities.

The class covers the concepts behind important machine-learning algorithms, and mini-projects develop in-demand Python coding skills.

Students will explore how AI is transforming such industries as healthcare, music, and space exploration. Their capstone projects will apply newfound coding ability to a particular project, dealing with art, medicine, astronomy, sports and more.

No prior programming or computer science background is required, but students should have an interest in learning how to code.

Each course balances serious learning with summer fun, allowing students to forge new friendships with peers who share your passion for technology.
